Born on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, Davido has become one of the most influential Afrobeats artists of the 21st century. He, along with Burna Boy and Wizkid, is credited for popularizing Afrobeats globally.

Early Life and Career

Davido was born in Atlanta, United States, and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He made his music debut as a member of the group KB International. While studying business administration at Oakwood University, Davido dropped out to pursue his passion for music. He gained fame with his hit single "Dami Duro" from his debut studio album, "Omo Baba Olowo" (2012).

Throughout his career, Davido has continued to release hit singles like "Gobe," "Aye," "Fall," and "If." He has collaborated with artists such as Meek Mill, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, and Nas. In 2019, Davido became the first solo African artist to sell out The O2 Arena in London.
