The series, set to start filming in September, will continue the story of Harper, Robyn, Jordan, Lance, Quentin, Shelby, Candace, and Murch as they navigate midlife crisis meets midlife renaissance. Malcolm D. Lee, the writer and director of the original films, along with Dayna Lynne North, former executive producer of Insecure, are helming the project.

"We're excited to reunite this beloved cast for a limited series run of The Best Man for Peacock," said Susan Rovner, Chairman, Entertainment Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. "With a powerhouse duo like Malcolm and Dayna at the helm, fans will fall in love with our favorite group of friends all over again."

The Best Man franchise has been a tremendous success, with the original film grossing $34 million domestically on a $9 million budget, and its sequel, The Best Man Holiday, earning $70 million. This revival of The Best Man: The Final Chapters is just one of the many iconic Universal titles being revived or rebooted on Peacock. Joining the ranks of Saved By the Bell, Punky Brewster, and Battlestar Galactica, this limited series is sure to captivate audiences.
