Disney's Lilo and Stitch has always been a beloved favorite in our home. For the past 5 years, my daughter Tess has been a huge Stitch fan. So, when it came time to plan her birthday party this year, there was no doubt that a Stitch-themed celebration would be perfect. From the decorations to the activities and, of course, the mouthwatering stitch birthday cake, it was a day to remember!

Planning a Lilo and Stitch Party

To create the ultimate Stitch birthday party experience, I made sure to gather all the essential party supplies. Here are my top buys for a Lilo and Stitch Party:

  • Ukeleles
  • Stitch party hats
  • Stitch party plates
  • Hawaiian tablecloths
  • Stitch cupcake toppers
  • Pineapple plates
  • Pineapple cups
  • Candy, Candy, Candy, and more Candy
  • Stitch popcorn boxes
  • Stitch socks (added to the goodie bags)
  • Hawaiian necklaces
  • Stitch stickers
  • Stitch gift bags

Setting the Scene: Decorations

To bring the Hawaiian vibe to the party, I repurposed some surf items from my son's previous "Hang Ten" birthday party. The Surf prints from BFF Print Shop added the perfect touch, and I got them printed at Walgreens using their regular promo codes. As for the wrapping paper, I used the beautiful designs from @violagraceshop.

To add sweetness to the celebration, I had delightful macaroons by the amazing @norasmacarons. And for the unforgettable craft element, each guest had their own ukulele to customize and take home. Additionally, we set up a station for making leis, adding a touch of Hawaiian tradition to the festivities.

Fun and Entertainment

For a truly interactive experience, I rented a mechanical surfboard from Arizona Bounce Around. They never disappoint with their wide range of rental options. But that's not all—I wanted to bring a true Hawaiian touch to the party, so I scheduled Hula and Fire dancers from Moki's Hawaiian Restaurant. They not only taught the girls how to hula but also entertained the boys with Hawaiian dances.

Capturing Memories: The Photo Bus

To add a "pre-teen" element to the celebration, I hired a photo bus. The kids piled in and spent hours taking fun photos together. Not only did they get to take home photo strips, but my daughter also saved some with her friends as a keepsake of the night!

For the perfect finishing touches, I relied on @makeitpopbykris for balloons and @Alphalitphoenix for light-up letters. The custom shirts for each guest, designed by @snapandpop_studio, added an extra touch of fun.

Delicious Hawaiian Food

When it came to the most important part—food—I knew exactly where to turn. Moki's Hawaiian Food, our favorite Hawaiian restaurant in Arizona, provided the delicious spread for the party. They've been a part of our family celebrations ever since my wedding. Having them cater my kids' birthday parties always feels extra special and brings a taste of the islands to our festivities.

And let's not forget about the treats! I made sure to have a wide variety of mouthwatering delights for everyone to enjoy. But the highlight, of course, was the stunning stitch birthday cake!
