Have you been eagerly waiting for some exciting updates and additional content for Mario Party Superstars? While there's no official DLC available as of now, there are some interesting clues and evidence that suggest there may be more in store for this beloved game.

The eShop Notice

Let's start with a curious observation on the eShop page for Mario Party Superstars. Just below the purchase button, there's a note that says "Offers In-Game Purchases." This piques our interest because currently, the game doesn't have any additional content available for purchase. Could this be a hint at future DLC? Only time will tell!

The YouTube Ad

In an intriguing YouTube ad, Nintendo asked players which game they would purchase a "downloadable content pack" for. Among the options, Mario Party Superstars was the only game without any DLC. While this doesn't confirm anything, it does raise the possibility that Nintendo is gauging interest and considering future updates.

Datamined Placeholders for Boards?

Some dedicated fans in the Mario Party community have delved into the game's internal files and discovered a group of board-related files. Each file corresponds to one of the five existing boards in the game. However, there are two empty files with names following the pattern of the other board files. Could these be placeholders for additional boards in future updates?

Character Sticker Exclusions

The internal file names for the stickers used in Mario Party Superstars follow a consistent numbering pattern for each playable character. However, there are three missing numbers in the sequence. Is this just a coincidence, or could it mean that there are three additional characters yet to be revealed? It's an intriguing possibility that adds to the excitement for future updates.

King Bob-omb and the Unused Sticker

Interestingly, an unused sticker featuring a Paratroopa was discovered in the game's data files. This sticker didn't make it into the game but could potentially be used in a future update. Additionally, King Bob-omb has his own sticker in the files despite not appearing in the game. This could hint at his inclusion in future content, considering his significant roles in previous Mario Party games.
