The allure of Girafe Paris Restaurant is undeniable. With its upscale atmosphere and breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower, it's no wonder this place has garnered so much attention. But is it really worth all the hype? Let me share with you my honest review.

Location

Situated in the 16th arrondissement near Trocadero, Girafe Paris offers unobstructed views of the iconic Eiffel Tower. The restaurant's elevated placement provides a direct view overlooking the Place du Trocadero, making it one of the most picturesque spots in the city. Whether you're arriving by car or using public transportation, it's easily accessible, with the closest metro station at Charles de Gaulle-Etoile. So, on your next visit to Paris, make sure to include Girafe in your itinerary!

Service

The service at Girafe goes above and beyond. From the moment you make your reservation, you'll notice the attention to detail. I requested a table on the terrace to enjoy an uninterrupted view of the Eiffel Tower, and they delivered. The waitstaff is not only polite but also well-informed about the menu. They are more than happy to answer any questions and provide recommendations, even suggesting which wines would pair well with your chosen dishes. What sets Girafe apart is the level of attentiveness you receive from the waiters. They go out of their way to ensure your every need is met, making your dining experience truly exceptional.

Food

Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food. Girafe offers a mouthwatering selection of dishes that are sure to delight your taste buds. To start off, we indulged in a platter of fresh oysters, which were absolutely divine. The main course was a feast of flavors - from calamari to steak filet, every dish was prepared to perfection. The sides of mashed potatoes and green beans complemented the main courses beautifully. And for dessert, we couldn't resist the temptation of the tarte au chocolat-caramel beurre salé (chocolate-salted caramel tart) - an absolute delight!

Price

It's no secret that Girafe Paris Restaurant comes with a hefty price tag. Entrees alone can cost 20 euros or more, making it a special occasion kind of place rather than an everyday restaurant. The menu doesn't list specific prices for all items, as some seafood or fish dishes are listed as "Market Rate." On average, you can expect to spend around €45-60 per person, excluding drinks. Despite the high price, the quality of the food, the impeccable service, and the breathtaking view make Girafe a worthwhile splurge.

Value

While Girafe may not be the most budget-friendly option, it offers an unparalleled experience. The portion sizes are generous, and the quality of the food is outstanding. If you're looking for an upscale dining experience with an amazing view, Girafe is the place to go. However, if you prefer a more casual dining atmosphere or are on a tight budget, there are other options to consider.

My Review: 8/10

Overall, my experience at Girafe Paris Restaurant was fantastic. It ticks all the right boxes - amazing service, exquisite food, and an unforgettable view. Yes, it may be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but it's one that is well worth it. I highly recommend Girafe to anyone who appreciates classic French cuisine and wants to elevate their dining experience. Just remember to book your reservation well in advance and be prepared to spend a little extra. It's an experience you won't regret.
