For my son's 3rd birthday, he was obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. So, I decided to throw him a Mickey themed party. While you can easily purchase Mickey party supplies, I wanted to add a personal touch, which is why I made my own Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Party Invitations!

DIY Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Party Invitations

If you know me, you know that I love getting crafty and making things for parties, including invitations, decorations, and even the cake. Today, I want to share this cute little project with you – the DIY Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Party Invitations.

And guess what? These invitations aren't only suitable for birthday parties. You can also use them for a fun Disney-themed adult party or a baby shower. You can even make them into Minnie Mouse invitations by simply adding a bow. If you need help with that, let me know!

Now, I've received numerous questions over the years on how to make these invitations. And I have to say, the easiest way is to use a silhouette machine. This guarantees a perfect cut for every invitation. But if you don't have one, don't worry. I was able to hand-cut all of these invitations when I first made them.

Ready to get started? Here's what you'll need:

What you will need:

  • Red Cardstock
  • Black Cardstock
  • White Cardstock (to print invites on)
  • White Buttons
  • Scissors
  • Craft Glue
  • Clear Envelopes (found at Michaels)
  • Mickey Mouse Character Stickers (to seal envelopes, found at Dollar Tree)

Tip: If you want to use a template, I suggest Googling "Mickey Mouse Head Silhouette PNG" to find options. Save the image to your computer, open it in a program like Microsoft Word, resize it to the desired size, then print and cut. Repeat for as many invitations as you need.

Directions:

  1. To get started, simply cut out a Mickey Mouse head silhouette. After the first one is traced and cut out, you can use it as a template for the rest (if you aren't using a Silhouette machine).
  2. Cut out half circles using the red cardstock. Ensure they fit perfectly on the bottom half of the Mickey head silhouette from step 1. Once the first one is traced and cut, use it as a template for the others.
  3. Use craft glue to glue the edges of the red cardstock onto the black Mickey Mouse silhouette, creating a pocket to slip your invite into.
  4. Glue white buttons on the front.
  5. Design and print your invitations. You can use programs like Microsoft Publisher or Microsoft Word to create templates. Download the Walter and Wicked Mouse Disney-inspired fonts from Font Space to add an extra touch of magic. Note that this is a third-party site, so be cautious of potential viruses.
  6. Slip your invite into the pocket, place it in a clear envelope, and seal it with cute Mickey Mouse character stickers.
  7. Congratulations! You've now made your very own Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Party Invitations without too much effort or cost.

Note: Since these invitations are in clear envelopes, I didn't mail them. But if you prefer, you can use white envelopes to send them through the mail.

Cost:

In total, this craft cost me around $10. I made about 20 invitations for my son's party, but I still have plenty of supplies left to make more. Make sure to utilize craft store coupons to help keep the cost down.
