Every year, Disney’s Not So Scary Halloween Party invites guests to experience the ultimate Halloween celebration at Magic Kingdom. With the help of our years of experience attending the party, we have refined a strategy guide that will ensure you make the most of your time. Get ready for an unforgettable night of spooktacular fun!

Arriving at Magic Kingdom

To start your Halloween adventure, be at Magic Kingdom right at 4 pm with your costume on. Take a quick photo in front of Cinderella Castle before it gets dark. Being in the park early allows you to head to the first spot on our Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party touring plan before the official start time at 7 pm. Lines for popular characters like Sally & Jack Skellington and the Seven Dwarfs start forming before the party begins, so it's best to prioritize these meet & greets.

Line Up For First Characters

For the best chance of meeting Jack Skellington and Sally, head to Town Square Theater between 4 and 5 pm. Make sure you have a party wristband and line up by 4:30 pm. Be prepared for a wait time of at least an hour, potentially 2-3 hours. If the wait is too long, enjoy some free time until about 6:15 pm and then line up for Daisy & Donald Duck plus Minnie Mouse in Storybook Circus, followed by Pirate Goofy.

Pooh Characters

Another popular meet & greet during the party is with Winnie the Pooh and his friends in Fantasyland. They meet near the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride. Although the process might feel like a photo assembly line, the wait time is usually shorter than in the past.

Boo To You Parade

By now, it's time to find a spot for the Boo To You Parade. There are two showings, and the second one is less crowded. Get there at least 30 minutes early for the first parade and even earlier if it's a busy night. The parade begins in Frontierland and features the Headless Horseman and various Disney characters.

Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular

Don't miss the fireworks spectacular, Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular, shown only during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties. It runs once per night and features castle projections and perimeter bursts. Find a good spot on Main Street USA between Casey's and the Partners for the best view.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

Shortly after the fireworks, catch the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular on the Castle forecourt stage. The Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” host the show, which also features other Disney villains, dancers, projections, and special effects. Keep in mind that the villains do not do meet & greets after the show, so you'll have to find them elsewhere in the park.

Donald & Daisy and Minnie

Meeting Donald & Daisy, and Minnie Mouse in their special Halloween costumes is a must-do. They can be found in Storybook Circus near the Barnstormer ride. Pirate Goofy is also in this area and usually has a shorter wait compared to other characters.

Dance Parties and Other Characters

Enjoy dance parties like the Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball in Tomorrowland and the Frontierland dance party with various characters from Monsters, Inc. This is also a good time to meet the Aladdin characters in Adventureland and Captain Jack Sparrow. Later in the evening, these characters typically have shorter lines and offer extended interactions.

Second Boo To You Parade

If you have already seen the first parade, watch the second one from wherever you are. There's no need to head back to Main Street unless you missed out on photos during the first parade.

Main Street Theater Mickey Mouse Meet & Greet

After 11 pm, visit Mickey Mouse at the Main Street Theater. This is the best time to meet him as the line tends to be shorter. If you can't do it at the end of the party, try to go as early or as late as possible, but not immediately after a parade.

The Final Countdown

As the party comes to an end, catch the last performance of the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular at midnight. This extends your night by a few extra minutes and ensures you don't miss the show.

Miscellaneous Halloween Party 'Things'

In addition to the scheduled events, there are other offerings at the Halloween Party that you might want to take advantage of:

Haunted Mansion

Don't miss the Haunted Mansion attraction, especially for the entertainment provided by Madame Carlotta and Madame Rinata. They interact with guests in line, and there's also a special PhotoPass opportunity with the Hitchhiking Ghosts.
