Now more than ever, it's crucial to support black-owned businesses across the country. While we engage in protests and leverage social media platforms to amplify movements like Black Lives Matter, it's equally important to seek out black business owners who often face challenges in accessing capital funding compared to their non-minority counterparts.

The wedding industry, although evolving, still predominantly caters to a white audience. Websites and publications like mine play a significant role in perpetuating this lack of diversity. As a white business owner myself, I acknowledge that it's easy to have tunnel vision when it comes to the topics I cover. But I am committed to changing that.

To contribute to a more inclusive wedding industry, I have put together a list of black-owned wedding businesses that can serve as a valuable resource for couples planning their special day. This list will keep growing as we continuously research and gather more names. Feel free to leave suggestions in the comments section or email me at hello@[website].
